About Soundscapes of India
Celebrating India’s Music, Culture & Global Collaborations
Dates: 10th – 12th November 2025
Location: Delhi, India
After a groundbreaking debut, Soundscapes of India (SOI) returns with Season 2, bigger and bolder. An initiative by the Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS)in collaboration with MusiConnect India, SOI is India’s first-of-its-kind Global Music Conference and Showcase Festival that celebrates the depth, diversity, and dynamism of Indian music while creating meaningful bridges with the global music industry.
Why SOI Matters
From folk traditions and tribal rhythms to contemporary experimental sounds, India’s music is as vast as its culture. Yet, much of it remains underrepresented on the global stage. SOI seeks to change that—by bringing together artists, international festival directors, cultural institutions, and global delegates, the platform sparks creative exchange, cross-border collaborations, and new opportunities for Indian creators.
What to Expect at SOI – Season 2
Global Music Conference: Thought-provoking panels and knowledge sessions with international festival programmers, cultural leaders, and industry experts.
Curated Showcases: Performances across genres, offering global delegates rare access to India’s hidden musical gems.
Knowledge & Mentorship: Rights management, industry trends, creative workshops, and one-on-one pitching opportunities.
Collaboration Announcements: New partnerships that connect India’s creators with international platforms and festivals.
The Impact So Far
Season 1 sparked global collaborations and spotlighted stories like Baul Mon (from rural Bengal to South Korea’s Gwangju Busking World Cup) and Tāl Fry (making their international debut at Malaysia’s Rainforest World Music Festival 2025). Season 2 is set to scale new heights, with participation expected from global cultural delegates and festival directors from Spain, Portugal, Poland, Thailand, Egypt, Netherlands, Indonesia, Japan, Estonia, Germany, Canada, South Korea, and beyond.
What we need from you
IPRS will be taking care of our lodging, food, and local transport. We our responsible for covering our own round-trip airfare. As you can imagine, it is not cheap to fly a ten piece band with instruments to Delhi and back home. That’s why we are asking for the support of our families, friends, and fans. This is a huge opportunity not just for us, but for those who came before us to have the songs of their culture spread far and wide. If our music has had a positive impact on your life, please consider donating what you can to help us share our craft on a global scale. Any amount helps.
We have provided options below to donate via GCash or PayPal. If you would like to donate but are unable to do so through these platforms, please contact us at mindanaokuntaw@gmail.com.
